YORK® International Black Oxide weightlifting bars feature a black oxide coating with hard chrome sleeves, giving them a particularly attractive design. The black oxide finish provides an excellent grip, and the steel used in their construction is American-made, with a minimum tensile strength of 100,000 Nm.

Less flexible and more rigid, these bars are ideal for static, controlled, and slow movements such as squats, bench presses, and deadlifts. They are also perfectly suited for Olympic weightlifting training. The sleeves are secured to the bar using a nut and a spring pin. Their precise diameter of 50.2 mm (1.975”) allows them to accommodate Olympic plates measuring 50.8 mm (2”).
