Wall mounted pull-up bar
Pull-ups are arguably the best upper body resistance exercise. No other exercise can replace its functional value. ; and no, the lat pulldown is not a suitable replacement. Not only do chins strengthen the back and biceps, but the abs, chest, and grip are also worked.
A pull-up bar in a gym is also a very useful accessory, given that it can also be used as an anchor point for rings, bands or a TRX.
Unfortunately, most pull-up bars don't live up to the hype. Most are bolted together from a number of parts, which suffer after hours of swinging and shaking. Most are also chrome or shiny, which means they become slippery and don't hold chalk.
The Xtreme Monkey Bar itself is bolted to the support brackets, so there is no play or movement, just a solid bracket that will support any weight up to 400kg! The chin bar can also be mounted to the ceiling for a vertical drop.
